norm Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Are they visible birds or not, also what exactly do the percent values represent?
miguez Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I've been wondering this too, I have it cranked up at 1000% and still have all my windshields around me...:)
Boberro Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 You won't see any 3D birds models. Bird strikes show as burning engine ;] Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Bucic Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 (edited) There are no visible birds in DCS nor FC2. 0% means estimated realistic probability of bird strike max % means Hitchcock @ miguez: The bird strikes are enabled only for low altitudes. I can't give you the exact figure. I also suspect they are disabled for Ka-50 anyway. norm Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 I hope the make at least some sort of image for the birds.
PhoenixBvo Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 0% means estimated realistic probability of bird strike max % means Hitchcock This has been discussed before. A dev answered then that 100% is the estimated realistic probability. 0% would of course mean a birdless world. So it's basically a scaling factor for the probability. That's why 1000% could still leave your heli unstruck. The question is what the realistic probability at groundlevel is... Oh, sorry for the wrong value for the realistic setting.
