Patched up and only get 2 of 3 controllers showing for axis

I've just installed the compatibility patch and my joystick profile was wipedout.

 

I am trying to reprogram the throttle axis and I had 3 controlers showing in the option screen for programing the axis. Now I only have 2 (controller 1 and 3. How can I get controller 2 back showing so that I can program my throttle to it...

Yes, I know.... The first controller has the x an y axis for the pitch and yaw.. the middel controller column is blanked out, and the third controller column has the z axis for the rudder peddals.

 

I want the second controller for the collective and the shivkal control.

pull the USB plugs for the controllers out and plug them back in again (don't do it ingame though... see if that works.

 

I had an instance where some of my controllers stopped being detected by the sim and by the CH programmer
