Sound problems, help please!

Does LO1.1 support 7.1 sound?. All the speakers work in the intro and in the menu screen, but while flying there´s no sound, only certain channels seems enabled (Betty and warning sounds). My sound config is an Audigy 2 ZS + Inspire T7900. This combo is working amazingly with other games like Doom3, but seems LO 1.1 does not like it at all. :(

Nope, just stereo. Some speaker setups allow dual stereo settings, which will run your back speakers, just not in surround.

Help me guys, I can´t make it work even selecting 2/2.1 speakers config in my soundcard config menu :( !!!

I have WInXP installed on two different partitions. My older install got hosed somehow with my Audigy2 and I only get sound in the front speakers with that install when playing LockOn. For the longest, I thought LockOn only supported two speaker sound, but on my good WinXP install I hear directional 3D sound and all 4 speakers are playing.

I dont have my surround sound hooked up yet, only 4 speakers and a sub, but will I get 3D sound from it?

 

Would be amazing to me that LOMAC doesnt support surround sound, specially with as demanding as the game is graphics wise........

Is that phillips S/C you have the external USB one? I think its the same one I have.

 

Just havent managed to get some speakers setup for it yet. I use headphones most the time, cause my system is setup on my living room TV, and the wife complains about the sound.........

The card I have is the internal PCI version.

 

After 7 years of the same desktop speakers on built in sound, I love these things. :D

Tell me what drivers are you using, please...I´ve installed last beta ones (april), but switching to older ones seems not working at all.

 

I´m getting highly frustated.

My card IS an Audigy2 ZS. I use the Cdrom drivers and then use CL's live update to bring everything up to date and I get full sound. On my partition that I do not get rear speaker sound, I used some bootleg drivers and I do not get 4 speaker sound in LockOn no matter what I do, and CL's live update stuff don't work on it either.

 

You probably should just reinstall windows at this point if you want your sound to work properly and unless you are a musician and use your box to create music, just stick with CL's stuff and forego the beta drivers out there.
