XarBat Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 A lot of people complain about the night missions in this game, but I really like them. Adjusting brightness and contrast settings of the lights, tv screen, and goggles should not be difficult for experienced players. I am having some trouble seeing the Search Light though. Really though; if you are using a TN panel LCD(almost all store bought PC monitors), you need to buy a LED backed LCD or an IPS LCD immediately.
Nate--IRL-- Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 The Search light is bugged at the moment, it will probably take a new graphic engine before it's fixed. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Prophet4no1 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I've never used the search light. Seems a bit cumbersome. How far out can it reach? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nate--IRL-- Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 It is? Search light is working fine for me. It doesn't light up terrain at higher altitudes. You can be 1m over the terrain in the mountains and you'll see nothing. It will however light up other objects at all levels. Frederf Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Ah, I wonder where the cut off is. Is it altitude? Slope?
EvilBivol-1 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) Light intensity is currently tied to sea level, so the higher you are above that, the less illuminaiton you will see against the terrain.
