Same Old Multi Monitor Questions

Guys,

 

Sorry to post this but I have read all the guides to death and cant get this setup to work, is it possible?

 

2 Nvidea GFX cards each with 2 DVI out.

 

4 x 17" monitors

 

No SOFT TH or TH2G

 

Windows XP

 

monitors = O O O O

catalyst = 2 4 1 3

 

 

i want the helo ON 4/1/3 and the SHKVL and ABRIS on 2

haha, thats my lock on a-10 keypanel to control the designator, mfd zoom, hydraulics! First attempt at ripping a keyboard and making a panel.

 

I tried to delete 1 & 3, was having trouble posting pics, just made a led hat out of christmas lights for the free track!

Multiple computers running graphics

 

I always read on the sim sites about using multiple pc's to run graphics and multiple monitor setups but never could find a good thread describing how this is done exactly. Anyone have any good links to a topic such as this?

1 pc - E8400 - 3 gb ram - 2 nvidea GFX cards 4670 and 4800 4 crappy little monitors and no experience with PCs other than user running XP too.

What I mean is is there a guide that shows how to rout the graphics to a separate monitor. Like gauges and ABRIS. I know you can plug in multiple monitors but is the software built in to select what goes where or do you have to write code or what?

You have to edit the monitor config lua file.

 

Click on my user and check someprevious posts for some examples.

 

And all on same computer you can't do it to a separate computer.

Just bought Flaming Cliffs 2 and tried the same setup but get a runtime error. In this setup I use a phantom monitor detect but suspect I dont need that anymore.

 

Still try, didnt kegety have lock on set up with the cockpit displays on a lower monitor, sort of x x x

Hey all, without any threads I can see which match my requirements I will post this incase anyone like me, without much of a clue about PC language needs a simple but good set up and I might be able to help.

 

System:

 

Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2

E8400 running a 3ghz

gigabyte 4800 and 4670

3 x 15" HP and 1x 17"

Usual ram, 2gb I think.

Softth and LEAVU2

 

I have just purchased 40 push buttons from ebay (30$ Australian)

I ripped a keboard

 

The 40 buttons will be enough to make 3 simple panels which dont replicate any aircraft but can be used on all aircraft.

 

No cockpit, just a desktop but Im going to have to mod it so I can put monitor 4 under monitor 1 without having 123 above eye level. Considering track ir cos i tried free track but it was a bit shit, maybe I should have used IR LEDs instead of Christmas Tree Lights?

These MFDs are going to be moved to beneath middle monitor

 

 

And them Im gonna make these generic key panels to sit on the desktop so i can fly all aircraft.

 

 

I just need to integrate virtual panel for some of the dials.
