Panzertard Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) Crazy crazy Canadians. :D - Testing the wingdesign on the back of a truck. - Planning to sell the idea of "swamp the enemy with 5000 defenders, they can't all be shot down" (no, you'll just loose 2500 pilots) ... - "It's impossible to parachute out of that airplane" ... ^^ Crazy I say ;) Edited July 20, 2010 by Panzertard The mind is like a parachute. Panzertard Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Yeah, quite a feat to complete it from the pieces that was found. Nice story. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
bumfire Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Bring back the piston engined Sky Raider, that would be PERFECT for A'Stan, seriously, great load, great loiter times and fast but slow enough to keep out of harms reach. The Skyraider would be a perfect compliment to the A10 in Stan if you ask me.

I guess you could put a turboprop on the front though...:music_whistling: I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" Lucas_From_Hell Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 It's not quite a Skyraider, but as far as I know, they are looking after modern propeller-driven light attack aircraft for Afghanistan, for these reasons. A-67 and EMB-314 were in the game, but I don't know the current status of the competition...
mikoyan Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 So... what happened to this inventor, is he still building airplanes, his work on the zero was fantastic. Sad and funny documentary.
