Kenan Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I'm planning to order FC from ozon.ru (russian version obviously) and I noticed shipment fees for the countries outside Russia & CIS are incredibly low. I emailed ozon.ru staff but I never got any answer. So it's like cca. 500 roubles for the CDs to reach Croatia (included BOTH FC and shipment costs)! This sounds too good to be true..so, as I said, I contacted Ozon guys to make sure the price they put there in the ordering form is actually the -real- price, since I don't want to get an unpleasant surprise when my postman pays me a visit. So, is there a catch here or should I go for it? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . pappavis Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 it is because of the russian economy, this is expensive in a way say dont do it buy the english version and pay ED $35 for their hard erned product. just my thoughts reokal P.s I have the downloaded version worth every penny I have both the download and the russian language CD-version. In the CD-version after installation all texts in the game changes to questionmarks such as a Kh-29L missile is shown as "??-29?" which is probably coz my WindowsXP is dutch. Apart from that all is fine. I have replaced the texts in FUI\RussianVersion\userinterface.cfg with the userinterface.cfg from EnglishVersion so now at least some text are legible though. It seems that inside the game executable lockon.exe are hardcoded text which can not be changed. Pity, but oke, thats acceptable. BTW my sis-in-law is russian she bought lomac 1.1 for me in Sank Petersburg a few weeks ago :). met vriendelijke groet, Михель "умный, спортсмен, комсомолетс" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] [TABLE]SPECS: i9-9900K 32gigs RAM, Geforce 2070RTX, Creative XFi Fata1ity, TIR5, Valve Index & HP Reverb, HOTAS Warthog, Logitech G933 Headset, 10Tb storage.[/TABLE]

Force_Feedback Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 here's the drill: Control Panel -> Regional and Language options -> advanced Then select Russian under the "Language for non-Unicode programs" reboot, and everything is readable, BUT, all the accents used on certain Dutch words (creeren, een, cliche etc), the accented letter will change to a russian letter, so you'll get comething like "cafч" (instead of cafe) P.S., I have the US KB layout, so I can't type those moronic accents Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
