I actually have only flown American planes for a while, but I decided to try out Russian planes. They are fun, but I have found a big problem in both SU-25 models. I have found this only happens when I start on the ramp. First when the game starts, my flaps start all the way down. When I turn on my engines, they raise. (that actually happens for my SU-33 also)Another thing is that I have no HUD. Also, no function works for the plane except for axis contols(on flight stick) and lowering the canopy. I can rudder, roll, increase/decrease engine power but that's it. I cannot raise/lower flaps or use any kind of brakes or anything! Nothing works. This is also on a clean install. This only applies for the SU-25. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Oh, was that really it? Wow, I was looking in the manual but I didn't find anything. I didn't know because all of the other planes do it automatically. Thanks, I will try it out now!

Also there is no HUD in the Su-25. It's a gunsight only.

Welcome to the exiting world of the SU-25 :D

First when the game starts, my flaps start all the way down.

Both "25" do this. Is and attempt to simulate RL hydraulics on the aircraft. Once the engines are running and hydraulic pressure come up the flaps will go up and you will have brake pressure. The left engine runs hydraulics for flight controls ( in the game have no idea on RL) Right engine give you brake pressure. The gauges are on the right/lower part of the front panel.

Another thing is that I have no HUD.

Keep in mind in FC2 ( at least for me) you have to set up the controls for every aircraft. Also, there is no "pickle button" all weapons release is done by depressing the "trigger". Remember that only SU-25T has autopilot functions, the original SU-25 has no autopilot.

I think the main problems is what ShalashakaDS, you did not turn main power on.

hope you have fun

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Yeah, I feel reallly stupid not turning on the power. Well, now that I'm flying it, I think it's great! I thought the A-10 was cool but I love the way this aircraft works. I'm picking it up pretty fast, although I'm still terrible taxiing with it:)

I think is greatly satisfying to kill a Tunguska in a SU-25 with RBK-500... I get shutdown a lot tho :D
