Crazy Controlls

Is this norm that I cant hold level flight? I had no problems with Lock On but with Flaming Cliffs 2 my planes are all over the place.

 

I have been trimming constantly but its all over the place, an example, it is pretty much impossible to use the A-10 MFD, I have to use TAB to cycle targets. Escorting the C17 in F-15 is a joke, im up and down more times than a brides nighty and take off with every aircraft, unless I am really holding the stick tight and v.careful as soon as the wheels leave the ground if i dont pull up sharp, the wing will smash into the ground so I cant stay at 2 feet for some daisy cutting fun.

 

I have a Logitec Wingman Force 3d of near vintage era which I suspect is the issue and am going to (always going to but something comes up, ah its car service this month) replace with a Saitek however....

 

What do you think about the crazy wobble, is it part of the sim to get the trim spot on or does it sound like another issue?

did you check all your input settings? As with Black Shark all the setting are contaminated with all the other Axis's check your settings on all the input they may in-fact be doubled.

Have you tried putting in some curves for pitch/roll/rudder?

 

These are the curves that I use:

Pitch 25%

Roll 23% (deadzone 5%)

Rudder 23% (deadzone 5%)

(Found in Options>Controls>Select Axis Commands>Select Y/X Axis>Press Axis Tune)

 

 

Other than that, it could be your joystick, but that isn't the case usually.

Thanks guys will try Frazers tommorrow but Mastiff..

 

Do yo mean for example if I am going to concentrate on the A-10, I should wipe all the AXIS commands for A-10 and set up my own from scratch incase they are duplicated?

 

The AXIS menu is pretty small, every time I use another aircraft I have to ensure i set the "slider" for throttle cos it isnt default!

 

Also, I cant fire a missle, its always the guns!

yes each aircraft has its own. So make sure you click on save before moving on to the next as it wont save;

Crap stick!! I think the 'force' has gone, its more of an annoying feedback, fighting the autopilot when I accidentaly press A is tiring.

 

Im thinking of the Hog or Saitek but the neons on the saitek put me off, bit too Buck Rogers.

Missiles use the "release weapon" rather than the "fire" command on US planes. I think the default is <alt+space>
