ZQuickSilverZ Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Do any of you ever use the signal flares? If you do what do you use them for? Does your flight squad have predetermined meanings for each color? Does anybody use these things in muliplayer? I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. Frazer Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Yes, but only in my aerobatic demonstration. :D In combat circumstances, it never even crossed my mind to use the "I'M HERE" flares. ;) Forum | Videos | DCS:BS Demo1 / Demo2 | YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
CAT_101st Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I use them so that my air cover or CAS can spot my location and dont shoot me down. Randolf Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think that in one of the missions you were asked to use a signal flare so that those who were communicating with you knew you were hearing them.
JasonJ Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I was doing co-op the other day. There was a danger zone and I told my teammate I would use my signal flare when passing the dangerous gully. Saved me typing, and saved the real countermeasure flares.
