Ukrainian Mig-29 and Su-27 Realistic Loadouts ?

Hi I'm a bit confused of what missiles Ukrainian aircraft are limited to..do they have access to R-27ER and R-27ET and R-77 in real life...also if they don't have these missiles would their Mig-29S be armed with 4 R-27R and 2 R-73? and their Su-27 with R-27R and R-27T and no ECM pod.

I think real paylod would be R-27R plus R-73 :)

Typical Air to Air payload includes 27R/T (not the E versions) for the flanker, as well as R-73's. Same for the MiGs, but I don't know if Ukraine was T's in their inventories - they likely do.

 

MiG-29's can only carry the R-27 on the two inboard pylons.

Yeah you are right Su-27 have R-27T but I did not find any picture of a MiG-29 with R-27T also no picture of 4 R-27R and there are plenty of pictures with the 2 wing tanks but there is no R-27R with them. Its funny because this common load out (2R-27R,4R-73) is not available on the MiG-29S even with the extended payload mod.

I believe those pylons were not originally fitted with liquid nitrogen bottles so you simply could not use the T with them, but that had been rectified. I could be wrong.

 

In addition, there is little reason to carry the T when you're hauling R-73's anyway.

Search for yoyothereaper's (:D) payload creator and you will be able to create your own payload.

The picture you posted is the MIG-29K. It has 4 pylons per wing so it is a bit different... This version can carry 2 R-27R per wing (maybe more?).

You have some problem to Ukraine???

Ukraine have access to R-27ET/ER. But as rockets R-27R/T on much more and their resource to end that planes fly with them faster. But it doesn't mean in any way that rockets R-27ER/ET aren't present in warehouses.

AS it is necessary to notice that rocket R-77 doesn't exist for a long time already. There is a probability that it lies only in warehouses of Ukraine, at Russia it isn't present. Is RVV-AE.

Ukraine have MiG-29 fn 2 modifications: 9-13 and 9-12. 9-13 have ECM Gardenia and can used R-27ER ant ET.

 

What we have now is a question. But in 1990-2000 we have all.

It is not practice to carry ET during the traning flights because it's seacker head is very sensitive to the G- shock, so if you make several bad landings it can be damaged. it cost a lot, so, it not a reason to carry it for nothing.

But we have it don't warry :-)

of course not so many as USAF has, but we a little and peaceful country, isnt it? :-)

This is true for all missiles; seeker type does not matter. Carrying them for training shortens their lifespans in all cases - this is why there are training missiles.
