NRG-Vampire Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Is there some kind of explanation to this ? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=20399 What can i do with these GUID formats ? Are these for adding new models into game or adding new paints ? Differences between the four options ? or only the 4th option is usable ? 1. OLECREATE ? 3. for satic objects ? TY
Slayer Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 It has been a while since I did a new skin, but I'm pretty sure you need a new CLSID if you create a new skin (do not need to do this if you edit an existing skin). I believe option 4 is the only one that works. All the other stuff is for Windows/Registry etc. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System Specs Intel I7-3930K, Asrock EXTREME9, EVGA TITAN, Mushkin Chronos SSD, 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 2133, TM Warthog and MFD's, Saitek Proflight Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 + TrackClip PRO, Windows 7 x64, 3-Asus VS2248H-P monitors, Thermaltake Level 10 GT, Obutto cockpit
Michelange Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) You can use option 4 for : - add à new skin slot on a .LOM 3D model. - Clone a plane (like F-16, you have 4 models of the F-16 and only 2 3D models F-16A and F-16C have clones) - add new static objects. - add new countries. Little Note : CLSID Standart is an Hexadecimal coded key. It is funny to see that some moder created manually there keys for the skins (look Gy's F-15C) in the last colorsheme they used a key with ....JASDF.... inside J,S are not Hexa, but it works ! Alfa Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 First sorry for late reply. As already mentioned, you can use new CLSIDs for modding varies things in Lock-on. The GUID generator is a universial utility, so it includes other formats, but its only the fourth option "registry format" that you need for Lock-on :) . JJ
