hassata Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Hi: I looked in Registry under ED, but found not key entry for 1.1. I had previously run the save registry fix. The game runs fine, but I had wanted to back up the key as suggested. Any ides? Thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ironhand Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 The reg key location for V1.1 itself is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On. Is this where you looked? The Starforce registration key, however, is located somewhere under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, I believe. WhiskeyRomeo Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 The best way to back up your activation key is with the free utility program available in the downloads section. It does all the work for you!
Dmut Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 hassata, look here - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn 1.1 Flaming Cliffs\Keys "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." hassata Posted May 16, 2005 Author Posted May 16, 2005 Thanks guys-I was looking in the wrong place. I will now save manually. I ran the Save Utility, got an MSdos window which then shut. Is the key supposed to be saved anywhere? I ran it from the CD I burned to, so maybe I should have copied the utility to the LockOn folder. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dmut Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 yes, you should copy utility to your harddisk, coz it trying to save a reg file in its current folder.
