Hmm then we need someone who successfully converted it to X52 Pro to upload it... any volunteer?

Here you go: http://www.gethome.no/raggz/A10C.X52pro.rar

Same procedure as SFJackBauers. Just converted the pr0 file. LUA stays the same. Works fine when loading in options.

Thanks for the profile SFJack :)

is this a X52 profile and not a X52-PRO profile? it looks like i can only load*.dat files to my X52

If you're profiler handles dat files you need to upgrade drivers and software.

Any idea why the ministick sometimes stops responding during missions? Is there a mode in the game where this might happen, or is it something to do with the config files?

Try to search for an old post of mine with similar question. Keywords: saitek, stuck... I'm not sure though. You shouldn't have any problems with the latest software and drivers if you've cleared the whole categore in the DCS GUI options.

So perhaps its just me, but is anyone else finding that the pinkie modifier does not work within A-10C? I can redefine the pinkie (button 6) as a modifier, but I cant get it to work, which causes some problems when you go to break but it actually disengages nose wheel steering. I'm wondering if its beta related, or something with my X-52 install, so it would be helpful if someone else had seen it.

Like I said before 90% of issues can be diagnosed with the built-in SST tester. It is very rarely that game sees it differently than the tester. Also check out the the 'package' topic for few important pieces of info re real SST issues.

Well the modifiers mapped in DCSW rather than SST, and if I delete it and readd a modifier and clicking the Pinkie sees button 6. Remapping the command so you have Button 4 and add the button 6 modifier works to set up but holding the pinkie and then clicking 4 only gives you button 4 not 4+6 (so in terms of being in the control config and clicking the buttons it jumps to nose wheel steering not to brake as per this config by JF), theres no mapping on the SST to a keyboard press, and Button 6 seems to work if you just try and use that, so despite the system seeing it as a modifier when you configure it its not accepting it in practice. I will try a little with the SST tester but I dont think it will show up as they are running as buttons rather than key presses, so the bet solution I can think of is to map the pinkie to something like RALT and then use that as the modifier for the button, but I was interested if it was the joystick or DCS that was having the issue.

Don't expect A-10C to automatically recognize the pinky switch as a modifier when you press it. You have to select the modifier manually from the drop-down list.

I'm pretty sure I know what was causing the ministick to stop working during a flight. Looks like the X52 profiler software is freezing/crashing whenever I load up a profile, with the added kicker of bluescreening my computer when I shut down or unplug my X52. The MFD also seems to freeze when this happens. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything about this specific issue. I've got what I think are the most up to date versions of drivers and software for Win7 64-bit (6.0.4.1 and 9.9.9.9 respectively), so I'm pretty much at a loss as to what would be causing this.

In the mean time, I've re-mapped the HOTAS Slew control to the hat on the throttle, and that seems to be working out pretty well.

That sucks. I use W7 64 too, and my drivers/software versions are 6.0.4.1 and 6.6.6.9.

Check if your profile does not send some massive numbers of commands right from the start.

anyone else having trouble with the slider for the air brakes?

Slider pot is of poor quality. Not to be used to control anything vital.

Yeah it caught it on config just didnt seem to like it, I remapped the pinkie to RALT in SST and then used that as the modifier, and it worked happily.

Also a suggestion for your profile, I remapped button 4 to be brakes and pinkie+4 to be steering on and off, I figured its easier to have it touch brakes when I mean to disengage steering, than disengage steering when I mean to brake :)

I think I may have solved my problem with my stick freezing up and bluescreening my system. If the custom names of the bindings are too long to fit in the MFD screen, then it apparently causes the problem and freezes up everything. I'll have to test this out later tonight.

I'm curious as to why this wouldn't happen to other people if they're using the same profile with the same custom names though...

Yeah damn you Saitek :( Forcing us to either buy a 300$ X65 monster or a 400$ TM juggernaut!

My slider pot is still working, but my rotaries are kaput. In the next beta update there is a chance the control mappings will get some modifications, so I will revisit the profile and move the brakes off there.

Interesting, I've never used names so long that couldn't fit on MFD, maybe that's a hidden saitek bug.

Once again great profile JF, its starting to gel with me.
