menendezdiego Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 It seems that when pulling the trigger, or depressing the pickle button that there should be an audio tone to go with the action. Here are three videos showing this audio tone/ping Air to Air Aim-9, CCIP, Guns: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TyunFbfpXM&feature=related Maverick: Air to Air Guns: Could this be implemented? It would be amazing and simple to do! Regards, Diego
menendezdiego Posted October 10, 2010 Author Posted October 10, 2010 No one? This is a pretty important feature....
ED Team Wags Posted October 10, 2010 ED Team Posted October 10, 2010 Such sounds are recorded to the video data recorder for weapon events, there are not heard by the pilot. menendezdiego Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 ohhhh ok that makes perfect sense! thanks
JHepburn Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 ohhhh ok that makes perfect sense! thanks Any idea if you can hear or "feel" the bombs come off the rack? It would be awesome to have some indication that release has occurred to better time our break and avoid hung stores. I usually watch for the fall time counter to start, but just curious to know how it's really done.
menendezdiego Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 When dropping via CCRP (or CCIP for that matter), have your DSMS page up. When the bomb/missile is released, you will see the indication on the DSMS (store location will turn white).
ED Team Wags Posted October 11, 2010 ED Team Posted October 11, 2010 I certainly hear the "clunk" when a bomb comes off the rack. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
Rhino4 Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I'm not hearing a "clunk" when I pickle...Must need to mess with my sounds settings...
nomdeplume Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 It's there but I only hear it sometimes, even when I'm listening for it... it's pretty quiet and easy to miss. I think it's probably not the most reliable method for determining when a weapon has been released. Also if you turned down the volume sliders as the first tutorial suggests, it may be a bit too quite to be heard.
