sobek Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 it unbalances my aircraft in the first place. Trim is your friend. You are going to have to deal with asymmetric aircraft loading at some point in your flight, unless you intend to fire no weapons at all, so that's hardly an argument against it. The TGP is a powerful tool, you just need to get used to it. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Kuky Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 No, but then again it isn't zoomed in as much as when you get "lines". See here for horizontal lines (warning disturbing imagery) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmoghK44jdI I think this is just low quality of the video PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
jazjar Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 well sobek you are right, it's just that I can only acquire targets at a close range, even with FLIR. I guess there's nothing I can do to fix this? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sobek Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I hear you, i'm having the same troubles. Have you tried using the FLIR at night? I'm not sure but i think it's implemented that contrast is lower during day hours when the terrain is warm. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
jazjar Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 true, just tried a "create a fast mission" and I can only pick up BMP-3s at around 10 nmi, haven't tried it yet at night. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
