I finally got around to installing Windows 7. I remember hearing in the past that framerate doubles in Windows 7.

What do I have to do to utilize these great benefits such as multiple cores? Do I need to use prifinitty?

Nope, just be sure you'r using BS 1.0.1 or 1.0.2, where the bug is fixed. It doesen't double framerate, but you can expect easily 30-40% more fps.

Does it apply to Windows Vista as well?

The mentioned improvements apply to switching from XP to Vista or 7, assuming you have a dual-core machine (or quad etc). Actual benefits may vary depending on other system variables though, obviously.

As an aside note, I have tested the sim in Vista 64 disabling the HT of a i7 920 (so it shows only 4 cores) and the performance dropped noticeably.
