Arkham Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I did a system restore recently, and both DCS A-10C and Fallout New Vegas have been having a lot of crash to desktops and completely random times! Help! Did you reinstall after you did the restore? If you went to a restore point prior to your install of the games some registry entries may be missing.

kingneptune117 Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 I have recently been thinking about getting a new hard drive anyways, and a clean install of windows 7 would be nice. IDK why I have these problems haha. HiJack Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Sounds like you are missing or need to update some Windows component if it affects several games. Have you done a GPU driver install? What about your joystick driver?
tusler Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 This is why after I install everything on a clean system I use clonezilla (free cloning software) and make an image of the whole disk on an external usb drive. Then if I restore it I loose missions that were flown but not the software installs. Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:!
