Wow, is it so much easier to do things in the sim with a proper hotas setup, rather than fumbling with the joystick and keyboard. And its much easier to remember what hat switches do what, than try to memorize "ok, the TDR is left control up..." Next on my list is a trackIR.

Nope, only two cable spots. One is a physically attached usb cable, the other is a ps/2 male input, but no cable. Joystick has only the ps/2 male input.

Off topic, but i just got an x52 off of ebay. However, it seems to be missing a cable for the actual joystick. I do see the USB cable off the throttle. Google told me its a ps2 male to male extension cable, can someone confirm this before i run out to radio shack?

Ahhh yes, I rememebr getting falcon 4.0 when it first released. I remember the fantastic hard bound, flippable manual. I remember the anticipation of loading it for the first time..... ....and having my dreams shatters when I took off for the first time. :P I swear the ATC was drunk.

Yes, i have lots of them. Is there a plan to integrate DCS:BS with DCS:A10, so people flying missions can go up with or against each other? I would think it would be neat to do SEAD using the A10 then have the BS go in to do anti tank in the same mission.

I found this mission to be very spotty. Once it would stop running when i was told to change the CM program, another time it would freeze when I was playing with the UFC. Eh, its beta.

Did you reinstall after you did the restore? If you went to a restore point prior to your install of the games some registry entries may be missing.

I'm having a hard time aiming my guided bombs/weapons, either using the hud or the targeting pod. anyone have tips on doing it effectively? Also, i tried using my joystick's hat switch to move the pointer around, but it kept going into point mode as soon as i stopped moving the hat, not staying in area. thoughts?

nevermind, i guess i found it. Lalt-C, but i was hoping it would work where i could mouselook and click at the same time

I'm trying to figure out how to turn on mouse look in the cockpit, but I can't seem to do it. Can anyone help?

Ok, another really big noob question. I've looked through the key list, but I can't find it (or don't know the name of what i am looking for). basicly, whats the key to turn on the ability for the mouse look to move around the cockpit AND be able to click things at the same time. I know Lalt-C turns on clickable mouse cockpit mode, but I have to turn that off to actually click things, then turn it back on to look around using the mouse. Any ideas?

GAAH! I am so lost! I have no idea where to begin. Just downloaded the game, and I am absolutely baffled where I should begin learning this sim. I can read the manual on the train, but 50 pages of how the altimeter works gets to me after a while :megalol: The tutorial goes through things fast. I almost died when the guy said i should be able to do startup in 30 seconds flat. aroo?! So ummm...where should an utter novice like me begin? btw, I used to do very well in falcon 4.0 long time ago, so i understand the basics.
