xjiks Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Hi hog pilots, Does anyone could tell me how to jettison only one weapon from my plane ? At the moment, I found the Jettisson menu in the DSMS, then I select the number according to the weapon slot I want, then I don't know what to do ? If I press emergency jettisson, everything is removed... any advice welcome  L'important n'est pas de tuer, mais de survivre. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] if you read this you are too curious
kylania Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 This took me like 4 tries to figure out. I'd pressed nearly everything else, but that button! :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie

slimakwielki Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 If I press emergency jettisson, everything is removed... I disagree, there's a bug in open beta that emer jett won't remove TER racks with their job lot but instead just simple first item attached to it. TGP and ECM pods wont go off A10 neither. I think it is related to DSMS bug that it doesn't know that you have TER racks with ordinance loaded, if changed manually via INV from pylon (with 3 as quantity ?!) to TER, it starts act like should bee...

mvsgas Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) ... TGP and ECM pods wont go off A10 neither... Not suppose to, carts are not installed in station with ECM nor TGP installed. recoil17 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 There is a Jettison switch on the CMSP. 7. JTSN (Jettison) Switch. Located below the Next button, the Jettison switch is a two-position switch: Up and Down. In the JTSN position, ECM pods will be jettisoned from the aircraft. The down position labeled OFF, is the normal state. I'm not sure if that enables the ECM to be Jettisoned when you hit the Jettison switch or if it Jettisons the ECM once the switch is set to JTSN. "Simultaneous selection of fuel dump and afterburner during high AOA maneuvering may cause fuel to ignite with resulting fuselage damage."

If you have a fire, you do not want flares ( that can burn at thousand of degrees) to stay on the aircraft or they can make things much worst very quickly. CHAFF and FLARES aren't electronic countermeasures "ECM" and they aren't POD's. Atleast this is what I thought when I posted my last post. I believe it is refering to the the actual ECM Jamming POD. The ALQ-131. Correct me if I'm wrong... mvsgas Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Sorry, I gave you the RL function, I guess it does something else in the Sim To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Eddie Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 The other option of course is that it's a typo in the manual. Try it and see, can't check myself.
mvsgas Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) This switch is not modeled in the sim, at least that is what it says when I hover the mouse over it. It's also label in the sim as; "Disable jettison" but you can still deploy countermeasures. To be fair, I based my assumption on F-16 manuals Edited October 28, 2010 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Inous Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Also remeber to use the top OSB button to pick between the RACK (the whole 3 pack of AGM's for example) or single (one missle out of the pack) this is also useful when you have the rack still hanging from the station when its completely empty. Could cause more drag!
