Pigmachine Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) If it's a stationary target, just put a waypoint exactly over it, at ground level (when zoomed in on editor map), then When flying choose that waypoint and set SPI to SP.. and you would be the closest to what you want to accomplish as far as I know? Edit-> Added 'at ground level' .. else you sit and curse the sim quite a while before you realize the SP is at 2k alt Edited October 30, 2010 by Pigmachine CPU i7-6700K 4,3Ghz, RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666M 2x16GB, GPU Gigabyte Gaming G1 GTX 1080, Monitor Benq 24" 1920x1080 @ 144Hz, MB ASUS Z170-A, OS Win 10 Pro (Creators ED), HOTAS X52 Pro, VR Oculus Rift Cv1

But where is the fun. The waypoint only can be the point from whereas the Battle beginns. If he wants to have a Target in the HUD or the MFCD, so he should get his manual and see how it works...as we all did and still do...or at least say please.:suspect: BlackSharkDen | BSD Discord | DCS Tutorial Collection

MemphisBelle Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Harsh? Why spend the time to reply while being so negative .. Did i just do the same?? Lol. Well, it´s not really negative, but be honest...how would you answer his (&%§$"§$) question without beeing a bit...harsh...or even sarcastic. Sorry in my eyes this is not a serious question... aphelion79 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 To me it sounds like he's asking how to view the target he placed in the mission editor without having to load up the game to make sure it's placed correctly?
HiJack Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Targets MARKED shows up on TAD when the navigation knob is set to MARK! Is that what you are looking for?

Nate--IRL-- Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 The A-10C does not work that way. There is no way to specifically predesignate a target. You can put a Waypoint on the target , if you like, but you still must lock the TGP and MAV to your target yourself. It is not possible to get a target diamond on the HUD like Lock ON. MemphisBelle Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 @mg2010 I am just about to figure the A-10C HUD Modes, Navigation- and and the Weapon System. As this is quite complex I suggest you to really go through the manual. It needs some tries and a lot of practice. But basically all stuff is well explained in there. To ask how to do one certain thing is actually senseless since everythings sticks together somehow. Pick up a special thing you want to learn and go through this part step by step. If then questions nevertheless appears, come back and ask thses special things. This helps us to help you. Your question: yes.and on HUD target is designated? can´t be explained just on the fly. These things come together with weapon-, Navigation- and targeting systems, as Nate already mentioned. You need to search for these keywords: SPI, TGP, MAV, HUD, TDA, DMS good luck BlackSharkDen | BSD Discord | DCS Tutorial Collection
