Ramrod_45 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 When I attempt to line the gun pipper up with the TGP diamond on the HUD the diamond is occluded as the gun reticle passes over it. Is this the correct behaviour , WIP, or bug.

danny875 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 This can be changed in the HUD options, or, alternatively look in the manual page 351 point 3. Half the fun is learning new things. Dan. 1
Lixma 06 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Put the IFCC switch to TEST, select N when the HUD asks if you want to enter BIT. Then with the DATA rocker switch scroll down to 'Display Modes' and hit Enter. Now you should see an option - 'CCIP Gun Cross Occult' - change this to 'N'. However.... The settings don't seem to be saved. If you exit the HUD menus and then go back in again the settings are reset back to default. 1

Did you turn it off in between? Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Lixma 06 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Did you turn it off in between? I just checked again....you are right. As long as you don't turn the IFCC switch to OFF the settings are saved. ....but it's really easy to turn it off by mistake. Any chance of making it save settings regardless of IFCC switch position? It may not be realistic but it will save everyone a lot of pain when you accidentally throw the switch into the wrong position.

Ramrod_45 Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Thanks guys. Tried your solution and I still lose the diamond as soon as the outer circle of the gun reticle passes over it. So the diamond appears to be hidden "behind" the reticle.
