When will this game go gold? Any patches soon?

Hi!

 

Im new here to A10, tried to find info about release and patches and stuff but i have a wild 1½ year old daughter and a 7 year old son asking questions 12 hrs per day, that kinda makes that hard to find righet now :helpsmilie::smilewink:

 

Could u guys help me with the info, im a poor dad trying to get some flight hours with 2 kids like moscitos with long fingers in the cockpit

DCS A-10C has not been released yet.. if you paid to pre-purchase it you get access to download current Beta. Once new Beta versioned become available you can dowload them... and so on untill final game is released.

Sounds like you're pretty busy there.

 

It's going to be quite awhile before they get to the final release version I think. As for Beta updates, there is no way to predict them. They'll arrive when they arrive is the best advice I've seen.

I figure I will ask this here since you mentioned it. Does that mean we have to download the full game again when a new version comes out, or will we be able to download a patch file that patches our current version?

I can't say... I think I read somewhere on these forums that next Beta will be about 2GB download (about same as current one) so I assume it will be full game download again for next Beta... after that there's talk about having auto-updater to just update individual files in next Beta versions about every 2 weeks... right now we just have to wait and see

I'd suggest strongly not saying "2 weeks" though. So far every ETA even remotely connected with this game and items for use with this game has been wrong by a mile, so lets just say "2GB then an updater from that point on". :) :music_whistling:

They should probably make it clear to people to uninstall current version so they dont lose an activation if they are going to make us re-download and re-install.
