Belphe Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) I was wondering if it was possible to be able to grab a screenshot larger than the screen resolution... My monitor goes only up to 1680x1050 but I'd like to acquire an in-game screenshot of say 3200x whatever... I know its a LOOOONG shot but perhaps there is a 3rd party software that could do this... :helpsmilie: Edited November 2, 2010 by Belphe Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Headspace Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 In order to do that, you would need to get DCS to render at that resolution. 3rd party software won't magically create greater resolution than the game will render at.
Belphe Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 I thought so... :/ Thank you. Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sobek Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I thought so... :/ Thank you. You could record a track and then render a avi from that and then pick the frames as you please. Rendering time might be long for huge resolutions, though. 2 Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Belphe Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 Ooooo, that's a brilliant idea! I'll look it up! Thanks! Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sawamura Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 This is certainly a very good idea! I will try that out. Thanks.

Rendering time might be long for huge resolutions, though. Hmm, I tried using the in-game .AVI renderer but it crashes when I choose a resolution that is larger than my max monitor res (I should have known - it's obvious..). Any ideas on how to do this "outside" the game??? Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

It's not obvious to me, i'll try this out when i get the time. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Belphe Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Well, I'm not sure how it worked in LOMAC 2.0 or BS but in Warthog the .trk file is loaded as if you were to watch it and since I want it to be rendered in a res higher than my desktop - it crashes...
