spn Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I have created a couple of new test missions for A-10 Warthog, but when I am flying the missions and turn towards the target(s) locations, the target box is not appearing on the HUD showing where the targets are located. I have searched the forum but have not been able to find any simular questions concerning this issue. I know it's not a bug because I am see the location box during some of the training missions. What step(s) am I leaving out???? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
159th_Viper Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 To be honest - do not know where to start addressing your post. Have you read the relevant Combat Employment Chapters in the manual? Target locations will not automatically appear in the HUD. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! WarriorX Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Welcome to the Forums spn. Waypoints will show up in the Hud as small squares, Waypoints can either be airborne (e.g. 7000 feet up in the air) or on the ground. You can turn on labels to show the targets. They will show up as RED text of the vehicle, or personnel if you are within a close distance, otherwise they will show up as a red dot at a distance. I strongly encourage you to take some time to read the manual as well the time will be well spent...as others have said in this forum, think of learning this Simulator like eating an elephant, you just take it one bite at a time. I hope I have helped, if not try the manual and then rephrase your question, lots of good people on here and if you put in a little time reading, they will be happy to help. nomdeplume Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 You could also post a screenshot of the training mission showing the 'target box' you're talking about - then people can identify what is you're referring to and give you more guidance.
spn Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Target location not showing up on HUD Thanks WarriorX. What I am looking for is to have the Waypoint at the target location at ground level. I haven't found where the Waypoint height above ground could be altered.. Thanks Welcome to the Forums spn. kingneptune117 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 to find the waypoint, look at the FPM. There should be a line sticking out of it pointing towards your currently selected waypoint.
