Dell Studio XPS 8100:

Windows 7 Home 64 bit

i7 870 2.93GHz 8MB cache

Nvidia G310 GeForce (512 MB ram)

21.5" HD widescreen monitor

6 GB DDR3 SDRAM

750 GB SAS HDD

etc

Im posting to ask your opinion:::

Is it good enough to run DCS A-10C at > 20 FPS?

Thanks for your time and knowledge.

I would say no mainly because of video card... you will be able to run the game but on low settings.

PC specs:

Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR

Unless you're getting an amazingly reduced deal, it should be possible to get much better specs for the same money. I agree that the graphics card you specified there could be an issue.

How do you feel about building your own PC? You can save money, but I can totally understand why not everyone does this.

There should be other places around that sell better PC's cheaper than Dell in any case. In which country are you based if I may ask?

Yep that graphics card sounds terrible. Not to mention it's a Dell.

I would really recommend building your own machine where it isn't loaded up with a whole lot of bloatware software and other Dell rubbish. Also there are computer companies which sell gaming rigs when you can customize many of the components if not all.

Intel i7-8700K | Asus Maximus X Formula | Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | Gainward Phoenix GTX1070 GLH | Samsung 960 EVO NVMe 1 x 250GB OS & 1 x 500GB Games | Corsair RM750x 750W | Corsair Carbide Air 540| Win10 | Dell 27" 1440p 60Hz | Custom water loop: CPU EK-Supremacy EVO, GPU EK-GTX JetStream - Acetal+Nickel & Backplate, Radiator EK-Coolstream PE 360, Pump & Res EK-XRES 140 Revo D5, Fans 3 x EK-Vardar 120mm & 2 x Corsair ML140 140mm
