I don't use modes, and I've set up the pinkie as a modifier in the sim. But as soon as I create a profile (just to have speedbrakes on throttle.. ehh spinning thingie) Pinkie turn's out as a shift button.

Any way to disable this? = I don't what the pinkie as a shift button in profile, and I don't want to redo the entire setup, just since it turned into a shift button

I did the same.

just delete the columns in the profiler regarding SHIFT modes. then clear the pinky switch programing. (make sure it's unassigned).

BTW - do you have any idea regarding the MIC hat?

I've got TMS\CMS and DMS\TRIM on stick and COOLIE\SLEW on the throttle and the slider is the CHINA switch. I can't figure out were to put the comms.. toggle switches on stick?

I have stick TMS as standard, pinkie+TMS = slew

Throttle hat as coolie, and pinkie+Throttle hat=DMS

Trim set to arrow keys. (I still have the 'trimhat' as look around since I'm waiting for my TIR5, and could use the pinkie on that one to trim)

del, end and pg-down for mic

I have the same problem, but i don't understand your fix above?

i use the pinkie button as a modifier in game, but if i use a profile i am unable to use the pinkie as a modifier...I don't understand the "delete the columns in the profiler regarding SHIFT modes. then clear the pinky switch programming". My pinkie button in the profiler is Blue, and i cant see how to free it up...

Can you explain this again for me.. :idiot:

EDIT: never mind.. i switched to 'grid view' and you explaination made sense.. excellent.. this has opened up much better HOTAS options for me..

(if you delete the mode 2 & 3, these become programmable buttons too..nice)

thanks.

I use another button on the throttle as a modifier (D) and use the main hat with it for the MIC switch.

I have an x52 pro and have it set up like this:

Pinky=shift (set up in DCS, set as just a button in saitek software)

Mode switch = no mode select, function as buttons as set in saitek software

Stick:

Castle Hat = TMS/CMS

Silver hat = DMS/trim

Pinky = shift

mode switch = boat switch (both have 3 positions, it works perfectly)

trigger = obvious

fire button = fire of course

Fire A = MasterMode

Fire B = laser/NWS

Fire C = CMS consent (start jam)

Toggles for Gear/Flaps

Throttle:

Hat switch = coolie hat/mic switch

Mini-mouse = TDC Slew

slider = speed brake

Clutch button (button on lower rotary) = China hat forward

Fire D = China hat aft

Fire E = Pinky switch Autopilot on/off

Mouse fire = TIR pause

Scroll wheel = lighting switch

I cant imagine how I should get all the A10C functions to my hotas(x52pro) without the 3 modes and the shift function.

I really love shifted coolie hats for similar functions.

I don't even strive after getting all functions on the stick. I just use most of the HOTAS stuff on it. The not so important stuff can stay on the keyboard, that I have in my lap anyway!

Iḿ more the "centerstick" guy so I cant place the KB on my lap. I have to lean forward and I hate that. Additionally I have a Belkin directly n front of my throttle to get deeper system functions to quick access. ALmost everything covers.

I bet noone wants to know that but I have to write sthg rght now :D
