MadTommy
Awesome thread! Oh, so they changed the year to 2011 now? How do you guys even find that stuff out? I know that Chizh said it's 2010, so how did you find out it's 2011 now? Thanks in advance! It actually tells you in the briefing screen for a mission. So yes, its now 2011 :) i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. Highwayman-Ed
Would be useful if we could set a year. I know I can put it in the briefing detail, but building a Sabre mission for 1952 and seeing the date as 2012 in the pre briefing is a little annoying... Stonehouse
Something I came across while trying to figure out moon rise and set times. Set up for Batumi allows selection of year and month and goes back quite a way. It appears to match the moon times in DCS World very well so far. http://www.timeanddate.com/moon/georgia/batumi?month=6&year=2011
DarkFire
That table is extremely useful, but now I'm confused. Does this setting in the mission editor do the same thing? If not, how can one adjust the day? Stonehouse
That is the place you set the date but you need to look at/calculate the day number via something like Tommy's table eg day 50 = 21 July 2011. The link I posted 2 up gives you sunrise/set moonrise/set times as well as different phases for Batumi and covers the 2011 and 2012 period. In fact very usefully for future released maps and time periods it goes back a long way further than 2011 although only to the 1990s and many geographical locales.
