Hi all,

Normal routine I use is to reset the CICU switch, but wondering is there a more 'efficient' way to relaod the DTS, or specified page/s. For example if i change the loadout.

Cheers.

There is a CDU page for it....Nav page -> DTSUpload page

Although, I'm not sure it will do exactly what you're looking for. Options appear to be "load original nav or all data".

You can get back to the MFCD load page. It just isn't one of the pages on the bottom OSB shortcuts by default.

Also, there's some niggling details that you might run against like the data cartridge loads into the data cartridge system and then the data cartridge system loads to the jet. I don't know how often that trivia comes up but it's.

Tried all the options on the NAV/DTS pages, includint those you mentioned above, upload and download, but none load the DSMS data for the weapons the ground crew just loaded onto my jet.

Suppose this is a departure from reality because I don't expect there's a 'hot pit' reload in RL.

I can still do it by resetting the CICU, and click only the reload 'DSMS' data. That way i don't' loose any other flight plan or mark point data. Still it seems like a radical step to have to switch off the mfcd's to do it.

I always did hot rearming by simply manually re-INV everything. It never occurred to me to load DTS again. How is the DTS supposed to know the weapon load changed?

If you hold down any of the OSD buttons (ie TGP on the left MFCD) it'll flip to the selection screen which from there has "load" press "Load"(middle right I believe) then click any of the lower selection buttons at the buttom. This will replace that buttons operation. From there press load again and it will take you to the MFCD DTS Load screen which you can then reload your DSMS. I accidently started a mission off with the incorrect load. I noticed it after I did a full start up and loaded everything, once I reloaded everything was in it's correct spot. This process takes maybe 30 seconds to do tops.

Also Frederf, from what I've noticed when manually entering weapon data the weapon stations "detect" their store.

What I'm suggesting is that if DTS upload of DSMS data works (reflects change in stores) after a hot rearm, it probably shouldn't unless the ground crew hands you a fresh DTC with the necessary data altered.

The DSMS will do some basic detection as in "there's something here" or "This ain't no JDAM" but it can't tell exactly what the store is, how the fuzes are set, etc. If it could do that there'd be no reason to upload the INV data to the jet through the DTS in the first place.

Of course re-INV is the easy part. The fun part is making new profiles and deleting the old ones which takes some more time.

Super, that's what i was looking for.

Also nice to know how to arrange the main mfcd pages to my liking
