The pinpoint strike mission where you are to take out the power plant. The planning map doesn't really show you which building to take out. The target flag is in the middle of the court yard. I've blown all the different buildings up around that area and yet to pass the mission. Which building am I supposed to take out?

Check on the Mission Goals screen. You get to that screen by hitting the Target/bullseye button that lowest on the left side.

That should bring up a screen on the right-side. Hit on the LIST button and a list of targets should appear with their co-ordinates.

Trace it back to the target by hitting Map button and then moving the mouse cursor over the correct co-ordinate. As you move the cursor over the map, the co-ordinates are changing at the bottom.

I had the same problem. I took out the assigned target multiple times but still got a failure. Then I tried again, but ordered my wingman to attack it. He hit the same building I had destroyed multiple times, except this time it was a success. Must be a bug in the mission . . .

just did that, it shows as a workshop, but points to the ground in the middle of a courtyard between buildings? I have to blow up the ground?

Is this bug because the target is one of these new Fc1.1 buildings ??Sometimes the target building appears in external view, sometimes it won't.

And you can't access the next 5th stage (after saving and reloading the campaign at stage four) even if mission is completed in the debriefing screen.

Replacing the (new fc1.1) building target by any of the default world building cures that.

The mission brief will tell you the target type is WorkshopA and you can look that type up in the Encylopedia to help ID the target. As mentioned it is one of the addon buildings.

(I've also noticed that these new buildings showup before the rest of the surrounding buildings with my medium Visb Range graphics settings and that was true in the powerplant mission)

well your screenshot shows my problem. There is no building in the middle of the courtyard for me. It isn't there in the planning map and it isn't there in the 3d world. Explains a few things. I will unlock the mission and see if I can add something there in the editor.

I looked at the object and its name was "????????????????????#" so it looks like it's a slightly scrambled object.

Might have been made with an earlier version of Flaming Cliffs with a scrambled object ID.

It WAS made with a beta version of the sim. The "??????????????#", though, is an indication that the name was originally in Russian and missed conversion to English.
