Apologize if this has been posted before!

Check out Google maps and look at the airfields that are in the Sim. Development in these areas are fascinating. Novoryssysk (spelling?) looks like it is now a apartment or shopping complex. Some of the Airfields are totally abandoned and overgrown with vegetation. Kind of makes ya sad! LOL!!

Check it out!

Yup, Novorossiysk is abandoned in early '90s. AFAIK it serves as warehouse / container storage area for shipping today. However in future Novorossiysk is planned as Russian Black sea fleet homebase and will surely need a new airbase. Also check Anapa and Maykop being twice smaller than in DCS!

Yeah I just checked those out! Sorry spelling again Tribis?? three main airstrips the large one to the east is really bad off. The blocks that make up the runway and the taxi areas are starting to separate. The one to the south you can see a group of cars and guys standing around like a car show or something.

To bad about Novorossiysk....it's my favorite strip!

Have a look at Kutasi ... 2 strings of bombs dropped across the airfield a while ago but still evident.

Yeah I noticed that too. It looks like it has been patched up pretty good. Wonder if it was from the latest conflict with Georgia? Lots of Helos sitting around and a lot of Frogs too! .....love the Frog!

It's an August 2008 result of a Russian Su-24M!

It might have been repaired in between and an old '08-'09 photo on Google maps!
