Hi,

I Got this Ipad app that makes it possible to configer keybuttons on the ipad display and arrange them anyway you want. Looks like a great CDU or MFD button solution. If this works you got it all remote on you ipad switchable from one to the other MDF/CDU/What ever Buttons you need.

Normal key's are registed in A-10 without a problem. But the shift or ctrl keys are ignored bij A-10.. I use CH control managers key-checker to check what key output sequence the keypad pro give my pc but that seems to be ok..

for example in CH's key checker (my CH joystick configuration tool) an shift "a" is register as: Pressed=>Lshift, Pressed=>A,Released=>A, Released=>Lshift. In the key configuration menu from A10 only the "a" key press is noticed not the shift press..

Anyone an idea why this is?

(hope you don't mind the double post in the beta forum..)

I cant remember exactly but it's the way that he has coded it on the windows side. I had to go through this myself at one point and had the issue myself. I forget what it was now..

I did it for this ipad application which I am thinking about making some panels for a10 now I am right in to it.

Here is it going for FSX which I dont use anymore, the ipad is hung over the monitor at the top left.

Should it be posible to get it to work?

It should be possible but it depends on the developer of your application to probably make changes in the way it sends keyboard events to the OS and applications.

I don't remember the exact issues but there were problems just like this when I was doing it.

This looks interesting. Tired it with the free version and the default screen would control all the F1 etc keys for views etc.

Then started up HIDmacros and it was detected.....as a Warthog stick ????? Very strange. But I could assign macros to it that functioned ingame. (Wonder if something like autokeys would also work).

But how to make it map the UFC commands in HIDMacro?

Botch..

I had a go with HIDmacros. It should be possible to use it as a "middleman" that send the shifts an alt combo key. It registers the keypad pro input and it seems to be able to send shifted key press to A-10. but for some reason it doesn't do it right or needs an extra keypress from a Alt to be seen in the A10 key config.

And for me keypad pro is seen as my CH pro throttle.

Sorry for necroing this thread, but does anyone have any solution for this yet?

This works in IL-2 also like in FSX, but not in DCS.

I was wondering if problem lies the sequence of keypresses? For example SHIFT-P sequence looks like this from Keypad Pro

"Shift Key (press), Shift Key (hold), P (Press), Shift Key (hold), P (Release), Shift Key(release)"

Compared to entering it from keyboard:

"Shift Key (press), P (Press), P (Release), Shift Key(release)"

In DCS the shift is ignored and P button actually stays down; so also the release is not registered?

You cannot tune down the lenght of the keypress in Keypad, I was wondering if you could do something in DCS?

DCS can be tricky as far as keyboard macros. Unless you code a slight delay between actions the results can be strange as you experienced. Is there a way to do something like Ctrl kedDown, wait 15 msec, action keyDown, and so on. That approach is the only way I managed to accomplish autohotkey shortcut script

Anton.
