tflash Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) As in FC1, in FC2 there is this magical diamond appearing on the HUD to show targets. In FC2 however, the behaviour has changed completely, and is somewhat puzzling. - The diamond only shows up when a wingman is in visual range; - The diamond will always first show a SAM / AAA target before it shows other vehicles, independent of your mission; The strangest thing however is that the diamond seems to be some kind of Artificial Intelligent thing: it seems that depending on your loadout, other targets are prioritized. I included two versions of the same mission, but with a different loadout. In one I sport two KAB-500kr, in the other two Kh-25ML. When you cycle through the targets, you will see that in both cases a different sequence occurs. With KAB-500kr on board, it will select the Ammo depot as second target; it will also select the Frigate. With Kh-25ML, it follows a sequence of AAA/ground vehicles.Missions.zip Edited December 29, 2010 by tflash swapped "caret" for "diamond" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
joey45 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 What on earth ar you talking about and for what airframe? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. tflash Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) I'm talking about the target indication on the HUD, on all aircraft with A/G capability except the Su-25. EDIT: damn I now understand the problem: the English word for this is diamond, not caret! So I'm talking about the diamond in the HUD. Edited December 29, 2010 by tflash [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
