I REALLY love the ME! I have really been studying up on it and so far the only limitations I have found is my imagination. I have been burying my nose into the GUI manual and I have learned a lot the past few days. You got your triggers and how to set them. Flags for starting groups. When to use a trigger zone, or when to use Group AI off or on, or is it better to use Group activate or Deactivate. The possibilities are almost unlimited.

This mission is a CAS with JTACS. Insurgents are trying to gain a foothold in the city and you are assigned to provide air support.

Same as the rest of my crazy missions. Lots of Airfield activity Taking off and returning to base. You need to pay attention to ATC. There is a lot of triggers in this one as well as Screen Messages....STAY ALERT AND STRICTLY FLY YOUR STEERPOINTS! This one took me about 10 or 12 hours to build, but only because I am still learning to set up the AI and what not. It's not a total war frame killer, it's a CAS flight with some ground action and you dealing with JTAC. A mission and a show at the same time. I mean I built the darn thing and it left me in awe after flying it. ED........I love you guys! LOL!!!!

Give it a go fellas. Don't let me put you off if you are still a rookie with this mission. If you flew my other missions you can do this one no problem. I have been out of the Military for 25 years so my "Lingo" may be a tad off so I apologize for that.

Give it a go and let me know what ya think. I have it set in the afternoon but if you really want a kick change the time of day to Dusk or Midnight. Very cool looking. I would leave the Time hold (Last box in the time line) alone keep it at zero and just change the hour of the day. For some reason it changes triggers in sim. ....or maybe I am missing something.

Have fun and watch out for that Airfield Traffic!

UPDATE!

I went ahead and turned down the kill ratio for JTAC triggers in CAS Convoy Fina 02. Either mission is fine but the latter may be more flexible on kills and move you on to the next JTAC!

Anyways have at it!

UPDATE 2!

WarriorX requested this in Multiplayer. So I created a 2 player and a 4 player mission. For those of you that use it online please let me know how it flies and if you find any flaws or needed/wanted changes. I set the all player aircraft adjacent to each other so you can look at each other while talking. Anyways! Have at it!

UPDATE 3!!

OK!!! I got took down the MP Mission and reposted a refined version of CAS Convoy MP 4. Just toss those two mp I posted away if you downloaded them. I am mainly a SP guy and I wasn't thinking Multiplayer! This one has all payloads for MP and the JTACs pop at same time in order to let all players hit something. Play it you'll see what I mean. This mission was really designed with Single Player in mind so it may be a bit off. Run it for me though fellas and let's see what we can do to improve it over all. That being said my next mission will be built SPECIFICALLY built with Multiplayer in mind! Had a nice little brainstorm and want to build it out in the ME! Hold on to your hat's fellas it's gonna be good!

Would you consider making it a 2-4 player Multiplayer Mission?

Absolutely Warrior let me get it set up and I will throw it up for ya. You want to add a little more ground combat? That many player would make it a real quick mission.

BTW....Love your Avatar! I miss the "Duke" ...what the USA needs is a about 50 million more of him!

Noticed one flaw in this mission. To get JTACs to pop off on their triggers you have to kill the entire group or the next JTAC won't pop up. I will fix this by making it a partial group kill, and post it again. If you change the time to night time you may want to change over to an IF MAV in the payload. The K is just camera. If you fly it at night JTAC uses a sparkle instead of WP. Will throw it up in a sec!

Greb, love your missions and you keep cranking them out, and this is a nice notch up in the complexity from what you say. I haven't played it yet, but I wanted to say... I like your enthusiasm and attitude!

Thanks mtucker!

When I was a kid I had thousands of Army men. You know the little plastic green guys! I use to set them up all over the living room floor and have huge wars. We use to rubber bands and each guy would get three shots a turn!

............I guess I never grew out of it!

Thanks for the Multiplayer Greb, and man, talk about quick feedback response, you take the cake Greb! Rep inbound Sir!

The Multiplayer will need some more combat if you feel you can add it in keeping with your vision of the original mission.

You are so right about the Duke, and the Men of that Generation, It's up to us now to try and step up, and fill those shoes.

Greb I played the first single player and I circle the orbit point. Pointer called me and when I ask for work, he said nothing to do. I guess I was late getting there.

I'll look into it Stanger!

Like I said I am just getting the ME down so I probably missed something.

Anyone speak up if you see a prob or want a custom change.

Mac! You're right we do have a lot of "Dukes" left in this country fighting on foreign soil. My point on John Wayne was the image he put out. Nothing PC about that guy and that is why I loved him so.

One of my biggest daily struggles is the fact that I am to old to be out there with them. I deal with that everyday. I was a grunt in a Light INF Unit and I consider all before and after me my brothers and it hurts not to be there with them. I feel like I am abandoning them. I know I am not but I still feel that way. I may not be there in that hole with them in person, but I am with them in spirit and I pray for them every night when I put my head on the pillow.

God Bless you Sir and thank you for your service. There truly is a special place in heaven for those who dawn a uniform and pick up a weapon with the intent of protecting fellow citizens that for the most part show no gratitude. It's is by far the most honorable and self sacrificing act one can make.

Stay alert and stay alive my friend!

Yeah, let's keep it real.....I dont know how you brought our fine men and women in the United States Armed Forces into this, but that is not where I or the others were going with the conversation. But since you took it there, let me be clear.

I am not talking about a man/actor, John Wayne, but the ideals he portrayed on screen.

The others can speak for themselves, but I myself would welcome the return of some of the principles in the General Population that John Wayne's Characters espoused.

Many of these principles, are rare to find outside of the Military Institutions, and that is what I lament.

Such things as Honor, Integrity, Morals, Ethics, and a Never say Die attitude, to name but a few, are becoming an endangered species in my humble opinion.

That sounds like fun! Hell I would still like to do that if I could find me some of those ARMY men. They probably don't sell them anymore.......not PC now a days!

I had boxes of those things. Those and Lincoln logs and Leggos! God I miss those types of toys!

As far as that mission goes there is a trigger that needs to be set at just before steerpoint SET. This trigger sets the convoy in motion. You should see a message telling you the Convoy is starting. That trigger sets the battle into motion. I may need to make that trigger cover a larger area. Try flying it again with a strict flight path on your steerpoints and see if it does it again.

I hear ya Greb!

I am 46 years young, and was born and raised in California.

I have seen my State and Country change so much in the last 20 years that

I hardly recognize it anymore.

Your right Greb, John Wayne would not survive the P.C. filters of today.

I hope that you Greb, Mac, and all the others on this board who volunteered to serve our Country know how much I appreciate the sacrifice. Thank you....Thank you very much.

Now back on topic.....GI Joe spent hours fighting some of the best "battles" in my back yard. We must be near the same age Greb, as Lincoln Logs, Lego's Army Men and Hot Wheels were my childhood toys as well.

We have a lot in common Warrior. I was born and raised in San Jose CA but raised by my Texan Grandparents! I live in WA State now. I served with 9th ID on Lewis and when I got out I never went home. I met and married a Canadian Girl 21 years ago. My parents and most of my family still live there and I can't believe how bad that beautiful state has gone downhill.

Posted

Yeah downhill sure is the right word. Shame too since it's such a beautiful State.

I hope that when this "social experiment" that has been evolving here the last few decades finally brings this State to it's knees, that no bailout follows. That would only prolong the inevitable and waste more taxpayer money.
