Re-Loading Data Cartridge? HOWTO

when I make a mistake in the flow, or,

f.i. Off/On CICU while taxiiing, or something, the TAD data seem to disappear

and I can't re-load the data

 

an old thread I found, but the OSB's seem to have changed

canot find a MFCD upload page OSB

 

OFF/ON the CICU will NOT upload the proper data, keeps saying 'No NAV DATA'

 

the CDU > NAV page > DTSUPLOAD > ALL ORIG or ORIG NAV

will NOT upload original catridge data :mad:

 

Perhaps I have to be near a ground crew?

near something?

how does this work?

 

in the Bunker, you have to move out? how far can you move?

You need to have your ground systems aligned on the CDU... once you have a flashing INS message hit NAV on CDU to init your navigation systems, which will get rid of the "NO NAV DATA" message and show your map.

Keep one of the bottom OSBs pressed for 2 seconds and you come into the MFCD Display Program page. There, you can set the LOAD Page to the bottom line.

 

I prefer the LOAD page, because I don't need the STAT page. So I change them.

I do as VJS161_Fire said above. You need to re-load the DSMS data if you decide to RTB during a mission to re-arm and the DSMS doesn't recognise that the pylons now have weapons again.

think I found what i did wrong

cannot really move the plane untill INS align is really flashing

(and not to forget to press CDU NAV, oops)

still, bit weird on cannot reload data, after one really messed up the flow.

you're allmost sitting on the cartridge, whats with that?
