SlyBelle Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I'm finally thinking of taking the plunge, but since it will take my computer system a decade to download, I wanted to make sure I was getting the latest :) I saw this other thread below about the potential release date of beta 5, but when I select it the detail thread inside where it might be mentioned, says I don't have permission. I'm assuming it is a link to the beta only forum pages. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65668 With that said, can somebody place the answer here as to when beta 5 is due? I would hate to start the beta 4 download today and beta 5 come out tomorrow :) I also prefer a full download versus just an update in case that is an option. Just prefer to start fresh :) Thanks!
RogueRunner Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I guess you'll just have to wait and sit it out. You will NOT get a release date out of ED that way. I think B5 is imminent so just hang on a tad then. With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.

I was only looking to find out what was said in that thread since I don't have access. I know games and updates are done only when they are done.
Steel Jaw Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) My estimate, having started with beta 1, is last week of january. cant stay in beta forever, got to get a RC out the door and get revenue coming in, follow-on patches etc to fine tune it. so my guess beta 5 is the last beta before release. ...and, add NEVADA...don't forget please...BIG issue there...we still want Nevada !! Bullet I7 4790K running at 4390 with a gigabyte board with 16 gigs of ram with an Asus gtx 660-ti and 2 tb of hard drive space on 2 wd hard drives. A X-65F Hotas with trackir4 and pro combat peddles. A kick butt home built machine unfortunately running a windows 7 OS.

I've tried deleting the temp folder and turning off or down all of the graphics but no joy. I can get some of B3 to work so I'm messing around with it when I can.
