I did use shoot back in the days, was great, used it for comms only, for maximum realism/immersion. That was a few years ago, don't even know if it's WinVista/Win7 compatible though, I stopped using after I updated my rig. The thing with this software is you have to "train" it so it gets used to your voice. The more you train it the more effective it becomes, but it took away too much fly time :D

I fail to see how shoot or VAC provides "increased realism" as RL pilots would not use it.

My specs:  W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.

It does make sense for communication, I always find myself fumbling around the radio menu's.

VAC seems more advanced than shoot. It doesn't need voice training at least with win 7 (according to readme) and that seems to be the case.

Also it's very easy to write a profile, although there are quite a few ready written profiles to download.
