JeffC Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Anyone try the Voice Activated control on DCS A10 yet? Not tried it myself but seems like a viable solution to the enormous amount of key board inputs I see where they have profiles for FC2 http://www.dwvac.com/download.html
Novac-185th Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 JeffC, I take it you found an answer to your question via your post here? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=64155&page=2
ACUTech Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I did use shoot back in the days, was great, used it for comms only, for maximum realism/immersion. That was a few years ago, don't even know if it's WinVista/Win7 compatible though, I stopped using after I updated my rig. The thing with this software is you have to "train" it so it gets used to your voice. The more you train it the more effective it becomes, but it took away too much fly time :D =ACU=Tech TECH Systemes Computer 1 Computer 2 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Steel Jaw Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I fail to see how shoot or VAC provides "increased realism" as RL pilots would not use it. "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.
Shake3000 Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I fail to see how shoot or VAC provides "increased realism" as RL pilots would not use it. It does make sense for communication, I always find myself fumbling around the radio menu's.
Novac-185th Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Shake, You hit the nail on the head. Radios Acu Tech, VAC seems more advanced than shoot. It doesn't need voice training at least with win 7 (according to readme) and that seems to be the case. Also it's very easy to write a profile, although there are quite a few ready written profiles to download. Novac Edited January 21, 2011 by Novac-185th
