REL Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Hey Going over the RWR part in the manual (Page 404), I couldn't find any air threat presentation, It seems that the RWR specialize only in ground base threats. Is this assumption true in the real aircraft ?
sobek Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Neither true for the sim nor the real aircraft. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
REL Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 Neither true for the sim nor the real aircraft. Thanks sobek I will investigate more

Megagoth1702 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I had to google "GR" in order to make sure it's not an enemy sam... This part of the flight manual needs some more information. zyph3r Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Thanks, question: how do you know if it is a Mig23 or a Shilka, they both got 23 as RWR number. Eddie Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 ZSU-23-4 are indicated by an A symbol on the sim RWR, not 23 as in that list. Additionally airborne emitters will have the arrow symbol on top of the emitter type symbol to denote an airborne threat.
airea Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I have a question: A 10C has no radar, so how does it recognize and give us a warning that a missile is launched? I can understand it can detect from emissions that the enemy radar is painting us but how can it track (or at least know) that a missile is launched?
Eddie Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Read up on the Missile Warning System. The link below should get you started. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1341650&postcount=10
