Matt18C Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Again, the description in the gui manual just repeats itself. Anyone with more info on this please post. What actually happens if checked or unchecked. Thanks
PhoenixBvo Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Your head has mass. Its "mounting" (i.e. your body) is not rigid (hopefully), so under changing acceleration (g-forces) the mounting will compress/bend to different degrees. This is modeled as a mass-spring-damper system in the simulation and results in head movement when the load factor (g-force) changes and with lateral acceleration (e.g. sideslipping flight). The option controls whether this model is active. mtuckner Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Basically your view with move and wander when you pull G's in the direction your head would move. You have to use Track IR to even have a chance, and then you are always moving your head, but it makes me feel vertigo and dizzy and I cannot be using that because I can't feel the force of the G's making my head move. Best way to find out is turn it on.
Mirtma Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Just turn it on and go for a test. 1 Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X | i5 10600K@4700 | 32 Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11G | MONITOR IIYAMA 24,5" LED LCD @ 1920 x 1080 | Windows 11 | Saitek X-55 Rhino | TrackIR 5 Pro

Conure Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I leave it on - Makes the sim more immersive in my opinion. Otherwise it's like you're a camera attached to a fixture. Bear in mind I play without TrackIR! slimakwielki Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 yep, I felt like looking through camera attached to airframe rather than virtual pilot without it. Turning it on actually helped as I tend to 'counteract' anticipated g-force head move and with option on, it turned out perfectly to leveling off view :)
