Bubb Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Just got my TM Warthog a couple of days ago. Had some time to install and play around with it! I love that thing...I can't even describe how much! I was wondering though, My speed break switch can lock on the "forward" position, but cannot lock on the "backwards" position. What I mean is that if I push the switch forward it will stay in that position even after I remove my finger, but when I do the same in the "back" position it doesn't stay there, it will return back to center. Is that normal? I couldn't find anywhere in the manuals whether its by design or not! Thanks :)

MTFDarkEagle Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Normal, by design. Aft = open speedbrake, fwd = close This is designed so one can just flick the switch foward, so he wouldn't have to time the speedbrakes closing. Twobells: One does maintain 35% by opening with speedbrake switch back, and with your eyeball mk1, evaluate at which percentage it would be at .(when you get more experienced, you wont even have to look any more) Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Druid_ Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 How long does speedbrake take to travel from CLOSED to fully OPEN? Then divide by 3. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q

sobek Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 How long does speedbrake take to travel from CLOSED to fully OPEN? Then divide by 3. Unfortunately, speed is not uniform over the movement range when they are under aerodynamic load. 1 Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Druid_ Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Really? Íf they are hydraulically actuated then surely it can't be that far off? i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
