trevey Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Hello All, I recently purchased Lockon Platinum. Both disks installed properly and I also installed the 1.2.1 patch. The simulation seems to run properly and it recognizes my CH Products stick/throttle and Track IR3 which function normally. It also seems to recognize my CH rudder pedals but the rudder does not function. I have attempted to use the options screen in order to manually assign rudder control to the pedals but was not successful. I have read and tried to understand the process of control / button assignments within the options screen but I cannot make these assignments work. Could you explain this process and suggest how to make the pedals / buttons function? I have noticed that some of default key assignments also do not work. My operating system is Windows 7, 64 bit. Thanks for any help.:helpsmilie:
S77th-konkussion Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 What happens when you try to assign the pedals in FC2's option\axis menu? You show 3 separate devices? Positive you are assigning the axis to the correct one? Are you using control manager? 1 [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
159th_Viper Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Ensure that the Axis allocated in the Rudder options tab is Joy_Z. Also be sure to delete all superflouos entries - there are by default quite a couple which could conflict. Lastly, ensure that the above is done for every Airframe that you intend to fly - changing one does not affect the others. 1 Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? trevey Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 Hi, This simulation does not respond to basic keyboard commands and the changing of commands through the options has no effect. Something very elemental is not functioning and I don't know where to turn at this point. Regards.
EtherealN Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Make sure you are setting commands for the game mode you are using - sim/game. trevey Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 I am using the simulation mode. Also using CH control manager. Axis box lights up and seemginly you can assign a function but no responce. Rudder pedals show up as RZ. Other commands are similar in that the indicated box will highlight, a button is assigned and then nothing happens. Thanks
Atomic978 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Did you make sure to assign the rudders to the aircraft you are using. If i recall you need to assign all the axis in sim for each plane. =RvE=Atomic Alienware Area-51, Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 3.2GHz, 8gig Corsair XMS2 DDR2 Ram, EVGA SC GTX 570, Western Digital 1.0TB 64mb cache HD. Pyroflash Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 You need to assign the control axis in game, not with the control manager. As for how to assign, in the controls menu, you want to click the desired control, then at the bottom of your screen there is a box that says "Axis Assign". Click that and move your rudders back and forth until they assign. if it takes more than one full motions, chances are that it is not being assigned. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
