Me too, at mission end while in orbit for spacing suddenly my Hud und MFCD was unreadable.

AMD 940 X4, 4gig ram, Nvidia GTX 450 with up-to-date drivers (i think :) )

I'm not alone :smilewink: Just a question, which drivers you use? 266.66 or oldest?

That was not the solution, problem persits and is triggert by external views.

But only after a certain amount of time, 15 minutes plus. In before nothing happens.

Maybe it is because after the time went by the action starts and there is much more stuff to do for the computer?

Maybe, but it's really strange because our configurations are powerful . I'm little disappointed. THX you for your comments I continue to search, I inform you if i find something

I'm right with you guys. Same issue with HUD and MFCD's after returning from external views. Have a pretty decent rig here with GTX460 (latest drivers). This is easily my biggest peeve right now.

Nate, I don't know how to make this happen consistently (though it happens regularly). However, when it does happen it is ALWAYS after returning from an external view. Next time it happens I will get the track up.

Can any of you guys reliably repeat this error? Ie make it happen in a track all the time?

Nate

The same observation this arrives all the time after a external view

Much appreciated. Also can you save the DCS.log from the mission it happens in, then run the track yourself to see if it is reproduced. Don't watch the track before saving the DCS.log though.

Nate

Hi Nate i save the track and DCS.log if you want to check ........... thx

it is just a guess, but i have the feeling the error occours ONLY after watching CBU's going off in the external view.

Here are two tracks, Track1 is kinda long, you can fast forward almost till the end, ingame time is something like 9:15.

I am doing something like one million external views there but ONLY after i drop the CBU-97 (one with, one without external view) the hud is gone.

This problem has existed since THIS thread started. I still have the missing text issue but it does not seem to pop up as much as it did in beta 4 but it is still cropping up here and there. I agree it does seem to manifest itself until after changing views. Mine usually starts with the HUD text disappearing then eventually the MFD text goes. I have posted the same pic in the other thread as what is posted in this thread.

I noticed that this problem appears when the flight made inside lands and not over the ocean. As soon as textures become more supplied the problem appears.

I made several tests over the ocean by alternating external view , internal view and the problem have never appeared.

If this can bring additional indications :smilewink:

maybe a solution

Hi,

A french guy gave me a solution i tested and now no problem when i switch between external and internal view.

First reinstall directx 9c don't use the nvidia control panel for the graphic setting remove the profile if you have one, just use graphic option in the game. I tested several time in the same mission no bug then tell me if for you the problem disappeared :smilewink:

Could you go into more detail about this? I don't have an Nvidia card but I need to be able to explain it to some on who has, in order to replicate the problem.

Nate

ok with the nvidia card you have the possibility to create a profil with exe of the game . You choose options which you wish as for example antialiasing x2~x16Q, the filtering anisotrope ect......

When you launch the game the Nvidia's graphic setting is taken by default. Using the Nvidia control panel would provoke a conflict with graphics option of DCS A-10.

I hope my explanation are clear

OK, understood. You saying the profile is overriding the in game Anti-Aliasing settings? Would you be able to try to reproduce the error under both conditions and report results? We may finally be narrowing this down.

Nate

yes sorry for my english but don't forget directx 9c, I installed it too. Ok I do that
