Jagged
Want to reinstall Lomac since my HD died last week, I downloaded Flaming Cliffs and ran it. An error stated LOMAC must be preinstalled before Flaming Cliffs. I couldn't find the link...
DTWD
No you need to purchase it, I got mine on a CD (or DVD or whatever it is) ages ago. I don't think it's offered on the website as it was/is a ubisoft game. Regards [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

159th_Viper
IIRC LockOn Modern Air Combat has always been disc-only. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Jagged
So the original lock on: flaming cliffs is no more available for download, is that what you mean...? Edited March 1, 2011 by Jagged
159th_Viper
So the original lock on: flaming cliffs is no more, is that what you mean...? No. Prior to the advent of FC2, the install procedure was as follows: 1 - Lockon Modern Air Combat (LOMAC) 2 - LockOn Flaming Cliffs (SU-25T add-on) Products as above were purchased as a single product with 2 seperate discs (LockOn Gold consisting of a disc for LOMAC and a disc for FC) or a LOMAC disc with the Flaming Cliffs digital download. In both instances, in order to run Flaming Cliffs you needed to first install LOMAC. With the advent of FC2 (which is essentially now a stand-alone product) you now need to install LOMAC (not FC). Thereafter you need to install FC2. After the FC2 install you can uninstall LOMAC. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! DTWD
Flaming cliffs is an expansion pack that requires the original Lock on to work. In other words you install LO, then install flaming cliffs which updates Lock on to flaming cliffs. EDIT: See Vipers post above. 159th_Viper
Where can I download LO? I can't find the download link maybe I missed it somewhere... I'll say this again: You cannot download LOMAC - Disc only. You can download Flaming Cliffs - You do not need FC. You need LOMAC - You cannot download LOMAC and as far as I am aware you could never download LOMAC. You need the LOMAC disc. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? EtherealN
I believe Ubisoft had a DL version up on their site for a short while for the US (not available in other territories), but I've heard reports that it has disappeared from there as well. EtherealN
Flaming Cliffs 1.1b is an expansion to LOMAC. If you currently have FC1 installed and running, you do have LOMAC installed, since 1.1b is an integrated expansion of LOMAC. Flaming Cliffs 2 requires LOMAC. Vanilla LOMAC or FC1 doesn't matter. If LOMAC - any LOMAC - is installed, it's good to go. DTWD
If you had FC in the past then you must have had LOMAC, so it's somewhere, check down the back of the sofa. Regards [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
