Does anyone know if there is a way to use the trim tab on the rudder? in A-10 you can use trim on the rudder, but in the Ka-50 I cannot find a command for it and the command used for the fixed with trim tab on rudder does not work on the Ka-50. I want to use my thumb wheel on my saitek for the trim rudder in Black Shark.

thanx..

Googling for images (now, that beginning always indicates a post containing lots of facts and information directly from the designer's desk - take it for what it is worth ;)) gives me the impression that it is a fixed trim tab, i e one which can be set on the ground by maintenance, typically using pliers.

If I remember correctly, when you use the trim button, it will trim all the control surfaces.

Trim works more akin to "holding" your controls at the point when the trim is pushed Vs. fixed wing were you can move the range of the control surfaces.

There is no trim tab on the Ka-50's rudder. Like effte said it's a fixed plate. There is a lot written about the trim in the forums, in one word it's force trim system - by pressing a single button you release the tension of the artificial feel springs on the cyclic stick (pitch and roll) and the pedals (yaw). There is no "trim" function for the collective.
