TM Hog HOTAS and ZOOM view?

Hello all, for those with the TM Hog hotas is there a way or do you have a way of setting the zoom view increase and decrease like on a scroll or something, would like to use this instead of the trackir view? thanks for your help in advance. Do I need to use T.A.R.G.E.T??

What you can try, is assigning the friction lever on the throttle to zoom?

Thanks but the friction lever is far to stiff to be using as that, what about the one on the right side of the throttle that says INCR ? any ideas how?

I think thats what he's referring to as the friction lever. The far right lever is the friction lever in the real WH, not the turn knob at the top.

I'm using right side lever for my zoom. Unfortunately it suffers the same jittering shaking effect other rotary style control get from DCS games (like BS). Very frustrating.

 

All you need to do is go to Zoom control in the axis controls and activate that lever for the game to recognize it.

Go to controls menu/axis assign/zoom axis(I think thats what it's labeled)/click in the HOTAS throttle section (you may have to add the axis)/move the friction lever and presto.

Ok please help me with this those who can, how do I go about setting my mic switch UP button to Teamspeak? this button is not used in sim on the throttle and I would like to use it for teamspeak, any ideas how to do this, with Saitek which I used before it was simple, but, I am trying to dial in my new HOTAS and this one is excellent but different as well, thanks in advance.

You can set it in teamspeak without using the software(this is how I do it).

 

To be able to set it you need to place all switches in their off position so that means:

Flaps to MVR

Pinky Center

Boat Center

Speed Breaks Mid

APU OFF

EAC/RDR OFF

Autopilot ALT

ENG OPER norm

FUEL override

 

 

When you have it like just go into TS hit the button to set the PTT and do Mic up.

I tried the zoom with the right slider but it wasn't very intuitive.

 

Now I'm using the shifter (the bottom button on the stick) + TRIM hat up and down for zoom. Works much better!

I use the mic switch for zoom, works perfect for that. And use the real mic commands at the same place but with modifier.

Goto your options, controls and then the bottom left click MODIFIERS. Once you click that, set the pinky lever on the joystick as a modifier.

 

Once that is set, I'd suggest going to the zoom in slow and zoom out slow commands (num* and num/ ). Bind these to whatever you like, I prefer the DMS UP as zoom in and DMS DOWN as zoom out, as this is very natural because it is the same zoom you use for the TGP just for your view with the pinky lever.

I do exactly the same it's quite good.

 

Up and down mic switch is zoom.

Push down mic switch is teamspeak.

Then with the paddle as modifier, I use it as the actual mic switch.

 

I use a target script for my assignments
