Yep, just got an e-mail from Craig apologizing for the delay. Sounds like he's got everything sorted out now and the order will ship out early to mid next week.

Kudos to Craig for his excellent customer service skills!

Got mine today from customs and installed it as far as I can.

First it was not detected by win7 due to a faulty USB cable. Afterwards it was not connected due fault in the powerline.

Edit:

Day 2 .... I enabled iVIBE in the config.lua and it works for me.

Just a question:

The seat works and reacts on turns, up and down but firing the gun, landing gear .. nothing happens.

I did not activite the export.lua due intellivibe. Make this sense or must all exports be enabled ?

I never saw a led at the bottom of the usb unit ever flash ... normal ?!

Cheers

Tom

I am really looking forward that you guys got the TFS3 soon !!!

First that you can share this really nice experience, second that there might be some more people involved in TFS3 !

I set up mine but with the profile for A-10 I am not really happy. I changed it a little but all forces are not "hard enough" for me. In flight a set it up calm and soft. For the speedbreaks and landing gear I set it to maximum, but with no effort.

I am also missing a conenction to the gun. On gunfire nothing happens .. the seat is not moving one inch ... I am sure if a A-10 pilot blasts the gatling the plane will shake.

On rolls I can see in the graph bar that something happens with the seat , but cant really feel it. Maybe my butt-o-meter is not sensible enough :)

The ivibe forums are a pain in the ass. Old threads .... I signed up and wait for some days to get able to write ... but it seems that there takes nobody really care about the forums.

So, I am looking forwar that the TFS community will grow up iin this forums and I find some solutions for this real nice gimmick !!

BTW: I use it as intellivibe, not over the exports. Maybe I should try the way over exports ?!

Cheers

Tom

From what I understand from the info on the site and what Polecat has said in these forums, using the system with the lua exports is the intended way and most effective way for the unit to function properly.

Without that, it's just another butt-kicker gamer, albeit, a more effective one. :)All it does is amplify the bass output of your sound card if you've got it setup that way.

I'll post back here as soon as mine arrives and I get it setup. By the looks of my tracking info it should be here by the end of next week. :thumbup:

P.S. - word to the wise... don't search for iVibe on youtube. The results are... scary. :megalol:

Ok mine shouldnt be much longer posted on the 4th.

One little bone to pick on this potenually fine product is NO MANUAL.:mad:

Its one thing to search through hundreds of posts on ivibe forums that are outdated and do get boring to read ,just to remind this is the tfs3 not tfs2 im sure things are differant correct me if im wrong.

I did come across at one stage in the forums that craig put up a link for the tfs2 manual but the link is dead would of been nice to read that just to give some sort of heads up on were to start,as i like to spend more stick time in the skies than spending days reading trying to get a product working and to its fullest potentual.

Just got it, installed & setup. Took a bit to get it all figured out. I am stumped on one thing though. Has anybody been able to make this work in conjunction with Helios? Without using AudioSense? If so, would you mind providing your export.lua file to help me figure mine out?

Thanks,

Mack

I use Helios and TSF3 ..... you have to edit your config.lua as stated earlier in this thread.

To activate native intellivibe support instead of Lua, edit the "config.lua" file and change the line that reads:

EnableExportScript = true

to read:

EnableExportScript = false

Change the line that reads:

intelliVIBE = false

to read:

intelliVIBE = true

No problem using both systems side by side.

IF you want to work via lua-files you have to bind the lua-file under helios in the setup of your device "A-10" ... give the path to the lua and helios will add a line to your config, same way as TARS uses ....

I have right now the problem that my TFS3 is not recogniized by win7 again, I have had the same on my first startup. Contacted Craig and got an answer very soon with the offer to get a new TFS USB-module but I will first try different usb-cables. Its strange, might to be in conjunction with all my audio setup and many many usb devices ....

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Tom.

I tried the suggestion you posted before, but Helios stopped working as a result. I've now set both:

EnableExportScript = true

intelliVIBE = true

Now Helios and iVibe are both working. I'm not sure this is correct but it works so I guess I can't complain.

Overall I'm pretty impressed with the whole thing. The build quality is very impressive and it is definately more effective then the old BK2, I was using. I think the support in DCS needs some refinement, but I imagine it'll get there eventually. For example, the seat doesn't react much when firing the GAU-8, unless I turn audio sense up a couple of notches. That has a few unwanted side effects.

Quite happy with my purchase.

+1 for your help. :thumbup:

OK, now this is really sounding doable.

@Tom and Mack, thanks for posting your progress.:thumbup::thumbup:

I was in contact with PoleCat chatting about the TFS3.

Yrs, there are some lecks .... f.eks. the gatling is not "feelable", also gear up and down is not so effective yet with the standart profile for true intellivibe. Flying a roll is beautifull to feel the roll from one side moving to the other. PoleCat told me, that using the lua with export is much more useable but also much more work to setup. I did not get it to work so far within export.lua but will look if my TFS3 works again.

On soundinput is one very bad thing ... if you contact the tower and got an answer the seat starts working due the voice. Not so good.

So keep on trying and let us know.

I will try my system tonight on a other computer, maybe just a connectionproblem.

Cheers

I did manage to make it work with the export lua, but at the expense of Helios which I'm not willing to part with in A10.

The effects were better, and the GAU8 rattled my chair. :thumbup:

But, I can't live without my helios so I'm back to the native intellivibe support until I can figure out a way to make the lua export work with Helios & iVibe at the same time. No luck, so far...

As soon as I get time I'll replicate my settings and post how I did it.

I did prefer the lua way, but again couldn't get helios to work with it. :( The tactile response did seem to be quite a bit better via lua export.

I did try adding "dofile" to the end of my helios export lua and pointed it to the inteliVIBE export file, but this didn't seem to work, sadly.

I may not be able to post my results for a couple of days, due to work. My apologies for the wait.

Got mine today not bad at all,yet having a bit of trouble as stated

To activate Lua support for intellivibe, you will find the *.lua files in the directory "C:\Program Files\TFS3 Control Panel\Plugins\DCS" or "C:\Program Files\TFS3 Control Panel\Plugins\Eagle Dynamics". You need to copy the lua file into your DCS sim folder \Config\Export folder.

ok thats all and well but WERE can i find the DCS sim folder \Config\Export folder.:helpsmilie: cant find it anywere..

Mac the knight,

I have it running with helios no probs.

do helios as normal, then goto a10/config/export/config.lua open to edit with notepad++,

on enableexportscript = true put to false, and on intellivibe = false put to true, and save/exit.

should all be working then..

:smilewink: Mhhh .. than you have it in true intellivibe, but as earlier stated the TFS3 works better with lua export than with true ivibe .....

So what to do to use it with HELIOS and export.lua ... thats the question ....

maybe copy and paste the settings from tfs.lua to regular exports.lua ....

Just my 5 cent ...
