nickmow Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hi guys been looking and searching for an answer, I have the release version and now the 1.0.1.6 patch. Id love to use my CH MFP as an input device but I cannot find how to bind keyboard keys to the buttons on the UFD and or CDU. That is to say they do not show up in Controls in the Options menu. Where am I going wrong and is there a fix ?
Maswi Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Maybe i missunderstood, but i think you'll find what you're searching for under: Options -> Controlls Category CDU and/or UFC 0 key 1 key A key B key and so on....
wolfstone Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 you have to bind keys in game for them when you have done that then you can program your MFPs this is what i did so i canuse my xkeys. so in game ,options, then find ufc under keyboard ,and start assigning...
nickmow Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Ok get the idea, but when I look in controls under options (in A10 sim) I dont see any option for CDU or UFC ? no mention in drop down menu or all commands, MFCD is there but not the others ?
WarriorX Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 hi nickmow, I have just your answer, as I did the very same thing with my CH MFP's before I got Helios. You need to go into the CH Control Manager software and make each button a Direct X button. Once all your CH MFP buttons are assigned as a Direct X joystick button, then save and load that profile in the CH Control Manager. (you will hear windows, acknowledge the creation and recognition of of your CH MFP as a new controller) Now, open up DCS A-10C and go into controls and you will now see a column with the CH identifier. Choose what control you want mapped to each button and assign them as usual. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "Is that you John Wayne?.......Is this me?" WarriorX Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Oh and remember nickmow, that you need to run the CH Control Manager again and load that profile after each reboot of your machine. It will not automatically load up by itself. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "Is that you John Wayne?.......Is this me?"
