Scratchy Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Sorry if this is answered somewhere else, but I couldn't find it using the searching tool. I'm making some navigation training missions and all is going well. But, with the need to quickly get airborn to test the changes I've made, I changed the aircraft to start on runway instead of start on ramp. This is in a single player mode where I'm choosing Player instead of Client on the aircraft group. The problem is when I start the mission after this change, the player is not there. Only the 1st static object I placed is there (in a location between the starting point and landing point--might want to drop some ordinance along the way.) No aircraft. Am I doing it wrong? :smilewink: Or, is this a restriction associated with certain airports? I'm starting at Batumi, btw. I've looked and looked at the aircraft group setting, but I'm not seeing anything. Appreciate any insight you can provide. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Intel i7-8700K @4.9Ghz | 32Gb memory DDR4 | Evga GTX 1080ti | Saitek Eclipse keyboard | Logitech Mx518 | CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle/Pedales | TIr5 | Win10 x64 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Panzertard Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 No, no restrictions. However you could try creating another "Player" aircraft from scratch, no waypoints and see if it appears where it should using "start at runway". Perhaps, for some reason your original "player" flight may be broken? At least in MP start on runway spawns the clients with engine running, but on the ramp (not allowed to have multiple spawns on the same runway). The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
mia389 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Check your start time on the player aircraft. I had AI taking off and one time I had to wait for all the AI until my "player" A/C showed up. I somehow messed up my start time on players A/C. You could also make SP a fly over point and give your player A/C an Altitude and you will start in air at that point going the speed you have set. Then you dont have to wait for mavs to warm up either :-)
Scratchy Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 Thanks for the replies. After posting the original post, I went back and did some more testing. I may have this wrong, but seemingly having the map zoomed out to where the airports are the circle symbols before placing the aircraft groups worked. Where when I was failing, I was placing the aircraft on the runway with the 'camera' zoomed in to where airport details were visible. Not positive. I was glad it worked and didn't spend any time trying to reproduce my problem. Thanks again. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Intel i7-8700K @4.9Ghz | 32Gb memory DDR4 | Evga GTX 1080ti | Saitek Eclipse keyboard | Logitech Mx518 | CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle/Pedales | TIr5 | Win10 x64 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Cibit Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 If you have MP flyable aircraft and SP flyable aircraft at the same location the sp flight is missing when you run it in MP.
