winz Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 You don't get FPS loss around cities with high autogen settings in FSX? I certainly get. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3

EtherealN Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Yeah, rextar, you definitely is: 1 - a programmer 2 - familiar with the FSX codebase 3 - familiar with the DCS codebase That said, I don't agree with your analysis. DCS A-10C runs better over cities at max than FSX does at medium on this machine. But that said: the differences are a bit bigger than you seem to think, and DCS has povisions for a lot more terrain-related stuff than FSX does (stuff like "bombs taking out buildings" and so on ;) ). All features carry a performance overhead, that's simple fact.
