Plausible Next Russian Fighter for DCS?

I bet a Su-25KM (it's a modernized Su-25, with hud, moving map, etc etc) so I guess they need some kind of simulator to train pilots.

Or the Su-25SM, another type of modernized Su-25, not su much as the KM as far as I know.

I would say that this does sound like you don't need the good old TV-Pod anymore ... ;-))

I mentioned Su-25SM (which according to what Sukhoi said was better than KM).

KM is not longer supported and was only prototype :)

Also it is weird if with such avionics you can do only dumb bombing (ok laser too but how can you find target without optic system, I don't say about pre-definied or coords sent via troops on ground) and rocket attack.

 

Su-25 now is far from getting A-10C's features such like cool TV, FLIR ect. I think such plane without good TV pod and missiles is poor. Take out A-10C TV pod from and mavericks and you get kite with bombs and gun :D

The problem of KM version was a prototype build in Georgia by israel hardware upgrades, out of Russian control, the only solucion has build a Su-25SM.... in testing or turn to Su-25ST (SU-39). But Russia army has started to scramp old version with no a available remplacement aircraft.

 

The last alternative can be build a new aircraft or make a DSC:Su-34 module in ground combat russian aircraft
